Hikvision DS-2DE4225IW-DE(T5) gives you the flexibility to watch a wider area, turn towards activity and zoom in for a closer view. Its 25x optical zoom, motorised pan and tilt, and Full HD resolution make it a practical choice for entrances, car parks, commercial yards and larger properties where you need to adjust the camera view remotely.
This 2MP AcuSense PTZ camera combines human and vehicle classification with powered-by-DarkFighter low-light imaging and infrared illumination reaching up to 100 metres. PoE+ connectivity carries power and data through one network cable, while the included standard wall bracket provides a mounting option for a suitable wall position.

A fixed camera watches one chosen view. This PTZ camera lets you change direction and magnification when you need to inspect activity elsewhere in the scene. It is useful for checking a delivery entrance, following activity across a yard manually, or looking more closely at a parked vehicle from a suitable camera position.
Save frequently used views as presets so operators can return to them quickly. For an installation that needs continuous coverage of several areas at once, combine the PTZ with fixed cameras covering the locations that must always remain in view.
25x Optical Zoom and Flexible PTZ Control
The 4.8–120mm motorised lens makes this a 25x optical zoom PTZ camera suited to both general observation and closer inspection. Optical zoom changes the lens magnification, helping retain useful image detail when moving towards a distant subject.
The camera supports 360° pan, a tilt range of −15° to 90° with auto flip, 300 presets, eight patrols and four pattern scans. Configure viewing positions and patrol routes around the areas that matter to your installation.
AcuSense Human and Vehicle Classification
AcuSense uses deep-learning analysis to classify human and vehicle targets within supported perimeter events. Configure line-crossing, intrusion, region-entry or region-exit detection around an entrance or boundary to help focus alerts on relevant activity.
Face capture is also supported, with detection of up to five faces simultaneously and selection of suitable face images. Available recording, search and event-handling functions depend on the connected recorder, firmware and system configuration.
Low-Light Imaging and Up to 100m IR
Powered-by-DarkFighter technology supports imaging in low light, while built-in infrared illumination provides monochrome viewing in darkness. This 100m IR PTZ camera can illuminate suitable scenes at distances up to the stated maximum; useful image detail depends on the installation, zoom position, weather and subject reflectivity.
120dB wide dynamic range helps balance bright backgrounds and shaded subjects. Backlight compensation, highlight compensation, digital noise reduction and digital defog provide additional image adjustment options.
Recording, Storage and Remote Viewing
Connect the camera to a compatible IP recorder for recording and playback. The camera also supports a microSD card of up to 256GB, network storage and automatic network replenishment with compatible equipment. Recording media is sold separately.
H.265+ and H.265 compression help manage video bandwidth and storage requirements. Hik-Connect, iVMS-4200 and HikCentral Pro are listed client options; remote access requires a correctly configured network and compatible system.

Installation & Compatibility
Choose a mounting position that provides a clear view and secure support for the camera and bracket. Allow space for the camera to move, protect outdoor cable connections and check the required viewing angles before fixing the bracket.
- Power: use a suitable 12V DC supply or an IEEE 802.3at PoE+ connection. Allow for the camera’s maximum 18W consumption and the shared power budget of the recorder or switch.
- Recording: check that the recorder supports the camera’s resolution, encoding, PTZ controls and required event functions. Availability of advanced functions depends on compatible firmware and configuration.
- Cabling: use suitable solid-copper Ethernet cable, protect exposed connections and keep the cable run within the limits of the connected equipment.
- Outdoor positioning: IP66 protection supports outdoor use when installed correctly. The datasheet specifies no particular anti-corrosion protection, so assess exposed coastal or chemically aggressive locations separately.
- Corner mounting: check the complete bracket assembly and any adaptor requirements for this exact T5 camera before ordering an alternative mount.
