Dahua IPC-HFW2849S-S-IL 8MP 4K Smart Dual Light PoE Bullet CCTV Kit
The Dahua IPC-HFW2849S-S-IL CCTV kit combines detailed 8MP 4K video, Smart Dual Light night vision and built-in microphones with a Dahua PoE network recorder. Supplied with white bullet cameras and 3.6mm fixed lenses, this Dahua 8MP CCTV kit helps monitor entrances, driveways, shops and business premises with clear video and recorded sound.
Choose a 4-, 8- or 16-channel recorder, your required camera quantity and an optional surveillance hard drive. Each selected camera includes a 20m black CAT5 network cable, and the kit includes one 2m HDMI cable. This PoE bullet camera kit carries camera power and video through the same network cable, simplifying installation around your property.

This Smart Dual Light CCTV system combines infrared night monitoring with warm illumination for colour footage when triggered and configured. Human and vehicle classification helps focus alerts on relevant activity, while the cameras’ IP67-rated metal housings support outdoor use.
The Dahua 8MP CCTV kit provides a choice of recorder sizes, allowing you to match the system to your installation. Add a surveillance hard drive when ordering for central recording, playback and event review. The supplied cameras capture audio through their built-in microphones; this model does not have a speaker for two-way conversations.
8MP 4K Video with a 3.6mm Lens
Each Dahua IPC-HFW2849S-S-IL camera captures 3840 × 2160 video at up to 20fps. It also supports 2688 × 1520 at up to 25/30fps, depending on the selected video standard and configuration. Choose recording settings to suit the movement, image detail and storage requirements of your site.
The supplied 3.6mm F1.6 fixed lens provides an 87° horizontal field of view. Aim each camera during installation to cover the required entrance, driveway or boundary. Identification detail depends on the subject’s distance, lighting and camera position.
Smart Dual Light and Colour Night Footage
The cameras combine infrared and warm-light illumination, each with a stated range of up to 30 metres. Infrared provides black-and-white night monitoring. In Smart Dual Light mode, warm illumination can activate when a configured target enters the monitored area, helping capture the event in colour.
When the target leaves, the camera can return to infrared monitoring. This Smart Dual Light CCTV system therefore provides colour event footage without requiring continuous visible illumination in every scene. Colour images in complete darkness require warm light or another suitable visible light source. Illumination range is not an identification-distance guarantee.
Human and Vehicle Detection
WizSense SMD Plus helps filter motion alerts using target classification. Tripwire and intrusion rules also support human and vehicle classification, allowing you to monitor entrances, boundaries and selected areas more effectively.
Detection performance depends on installation position, lighting, scene conditions and settings. Supported event recording and intelligent search functions also depend on the recorder, firmware and configuration.
Built-in Microphones for Audio Recording
A built-in microphone in each camera captures sound alongside the video, adding useful context when reviewing recordings. Enable audio in the camera and recorder settings where required.
The Dahua IPC-HFW2849S-S-IL provides one-way audio recording. It does not include a built-in speaker, two-way conversation function or warning siren.
120dB WDR and Outdoor Protection
120dB Wide Dynamic Range helps balance bright backgrounds and shaded subjects, making it useful around entrances and doorways. Backlight compensation, highlight compensation and 3D noise reduction provide further image adjustment.
The white metal camera housing is rated IP67 for water and dust protection. Outdoor cable connections still require suitable sealing and protection. The recorder must be installed indoors in a dry, ventilated location.
Recording and Remote Viewing
Record centrally through the selected Dahua NVR and review footage locally or through supported remote access. Dahua DMSS supports mobile viewing on a correctly configured system; viewing away from the premises requires an internet connection.
H.265 and supported Smart H.265+ compression help manage bandwidth and storage use. Recording duration depends on the number of cameras, bitrate, frame rate, recording schedule and selected hard drive capacity. A surveillance hard drive is supplied and pre-installed only when selected.
Each camera also supports a microSD card up to 256GB for supported local recording. Memory cards are sold separately. Recorder channel capacity and simultaneous full-resolution live-view decoding are different specifications; multi-camera viewing may use lower-resolution sub-streams.

Recording and viewing: These cameras capture 8MP video at a maximum of 20fps. The recorder decoding figures describe simultaneous viewing capability and do not increase the cameras’ frame rate. Configure streams and recording within the recorder’s bandwidth limits. HDD limits describe hardware support, not the drive supplied; installed capacity is as selected.

Installation & Compatibility
Connect each camera directly to a built-in PoE port on the selected recorder using its network cable. This PoE bullet camera kit does not require a separate power supply at each camera when connected through PoE. Install the recorder indoors and connect it to your router for supported network and remote-access functions.
Each camera is rated at a maximum of 5.9W over PoE. The combined camera loads shown above are below the selected recorders’ published PoE budgets, including configurations with 4, 8 or 16 of these cameras. Allow for cable losses and follow cable-length and installation requirements. An additional PoE switch is optional for alternative network layouts and is sold separately; it does not increase the recorder’s camera-channel limit.
Mount cameras on a suitable surface, aim the fixed 3.6mm view and test daytime and night-time operation. Protect all outdoor connectors and seal cable entries correctly. The Dahua PFA130-E back base is a manufacturer-listed compatible accessory and provides enclosed space for cable connections.
Use suitable surveillance storage for NVR recording. Smart detection, audio recording, event search and remote notifications require the appropriate settings and compatible firmware. A Full HD monitor can display the system without reducing the resolution recorded by the cameras; viewing the recorder’s 4K output requires a compatible 4K display and HDMI connection.
