8MP 4K Ultra HD Image Quality
The DS-2CD2483G2-I 8MP cube IP camera captures video at resolutions up to 3840 × 2160, providing significantly more image detail than standard Full HD cameras. The high resolution makes it easier to review important details in recorded footage and provides excellent image quality on compatible 4K monitors and surveillance systems.
Hikvision AcuSense Human & Vehicle Detection
Hikvision’s AcuSense technology uses deep-learning algorithms to classify human and vehicle targets. This helps reduce false alarms caused by irrelevant movement and allows users to concentrate on events that are more likely to require attention.
This intelligent detection makes the Hikvision DS-2CD2483G2-I particularly suitable for locations where reliable notifications and easier event searching are important.
Built-In Two-Way Audio
Unlike cameras equipped with a microphone only, the Hikvision DS-2CD2483G2-I has both a built-in microphone and built-in speaker, providing genuine two-way audio communication.
Users can listen to audio from the camera location and communicate through the camera using a compatible Hikvision system. This is particularly useful for entrances, reception areas, offices, shops and residential applications.
Built-In PIR Detection
The camera incorporates a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor which detects infrared energy associated with moving people. This provides an additional detection method alongside the camera’s intelligent video analytics and can help improve event detection in indoor environments.
Infrared Night Vision Up to 10 Metres
Built-in infrared illumination allows the camera to continue monitoring when lighting levels fall. The IR system provides night-time visibility at distances of up to 10 metres, making it suitable for indoor areas that may be dark overnight.
120 dB True WDR
120 dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) helps produce clearer images in areas containing both bright and dark sections. This is especially useful when the camera faces windows, entrances or other locations where strong backlighting can make subjects difficult to see.
PoE – Simple Single-Cable Installation
The camera supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing both network data and power to be carried through a single Ethernet cable when connected to a compatible PoE NVR or network switch.
A 12V DC power input is also provided for installations where PoE is not being used.
Local microSD Card Recording
The integrated microSD card slot supports cards up to 512GB, allowing footage to be recorded locally at the camera. This provides additional flexibility and can be used alongside a compatible Hikvision NVR depending on the installation requirements.
