Hikvision DS-2CD2786G2H-IPTRZS2U/SL 8MP DarkFighter PTRZ Varifocal Dome IP Camera
The Hikvision DS-2CD2786G2H-IPTRZS2U/SL is a professional 8MP motorised PTRZ dome network camera designed for demanding CCTV installations where excellent low-light performance, flexible positioning and intelligent detection are required.
It delivers video at up to 3840 × 2160 resolution and uses a 2.8–12mm motorised varifocal lens for adjustable wide or more focused coverage.
Powered by Hikvision DarkFighter technology, the camera is designed to produce clear images in very low-light conditions.
Motorised PTRZ allows remote Pan, Tilt, Rotate and Zoom adjustment after installation, while deep-learning analytics provide human and vehicle classification.
Built-in arrayed dual microphones, two-way audio support, active strobe light and audible warning provide additional security functionality.

Motorised PTRZ – Pan, Tilt, Rotate & Zoom
A major advantage of the DS-2CD2786G2H-IPTRZS2U/SL is its motorised
PTRZ mechanism.
The camera position can be adjusted remotely after mounting, reducing the need to physically reopen and reposition the dome during final setup.
Remote adjustment covers approximately 0° to 350° pan,
0° to 85° tilt and 0° to 350° rotation.
Combined with the motorised zoom lens, this makes the camera particularly useful for installations at height or in difficult-to-access locations.
2.8–12mm Motorised Varifocal Lens
The 2.8–12mm motorised varifocal lens allows the installer to adjust the viewing angle without physically changing the lens.
At 2.8mm the camera provides a wide overview, while the 12mm setting produces a more focused view for monitoring a specific area.
The horizontal field of view ranges from approximately 112.3° at the wide setting to 41.2° at the telephoto setting.
Powered by DarkFighter
Hikvision DarkFighter technology is designed to improve CCTV image performance in difficult low-light environments.
The camera combines a large 1/1.8″ Progressive Scan CMOS sensor with an F1.2 maximum aperture.
Colour minimum illumination is rated down to approximately
0.0008 Lux at F1.2 with AGC enabled, allowing useful colour detail to be maintained for longer as ambient light levels fall.
Smart IR Night Vision up to 40 Metres
For night-time surveillance, this model uses integrated 850nm infrared illumination with a range of up to 40 metres.
Smart Supplement Light helps manage IR output to reduce excessive illumination when people or objects move closer to the camera.
This model uses infrared night illumination rather than the IR + white Smart Hybrid Light system found on the ColorVu version.
Human & Vehicle Classification
Deep-learning technology allows supported security events to classify specified targets as
human or vehicle.
This can help reduce unnecessary alarms caused by irrelevant movement when the smart functions are correctly configured.
Supported perimeter protection functions include:
- Line crossing detection
- Intrusion detection
- Region entrance detection
- Region exiting detection
Face Capture
The DS-2CD2786G2H-IPTRZS2U/SL also supports face capture, providing additional intelligent surveillance functionality when used with compatible Hikvision equipment and software.
Dual-Array Microphones & Two-Way Audio
Built-in arrayed dual microphones provide high-quality audio capture.
The camera also supports two-way audio, allowing compatible Hikvision systems and software to be used for voice communication.
Separate line-level audio input and output connections are also available for suitable external audio equipment.
Active Strobe Light & Audible Alarm
The /SL version supports an active strobe light and audible warning.
These functions can be linked to supported detection events to provide an immediate visual and audible deterrent when an event is triggered.
120dB Wide Dynamic Range
Built-in 120dB WDR helps maintain useful image detail where bright and dark areas appear within the same scene.
This is particularly useful around building entrances, doorways, loading areas and other strongly backlit locations.
Local microSD Recording
The built-in memory card slot supports
microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC cards up to 512GB.
This provides local edge-recording capability alongside recording to a compatible Hikvision NVR or network storage system.
