Dahua SD49225DB-HC 2MP 25x Starlight 100m IR HDCVI PTZ Camera
Dahua SD49225DB-HC delivers detailed 2MP Full HD video and 25x optical zoom for monitoring entrances, driveways, yards and business premises. Its motorised 4.8–120mm lens and remote pan-and-tilt control let you move between a wider view and a closer view of activity. Supplied in White, this camera includes a PFB305W wall mount bracket.
This Dahua analogue PTZ camera combines up to 100m infrared illumination, 120dB wide dynamic range and flexible preset tours. As a Starlight CCTV camera, it helps retain colour detail in low light when sufficient ambient illumination is available, then uses infrared for black-and-white viewing in darkness.

The camera offers continuous 360° pan movement, programmable viewing positions and scheduled viewing routes through supported recorder controls. A PTZ camera shows the direction it is pointing towards; additional cameras are useful where several areas need continuous coverage at the same time.
2MP Full HD Video and 25x Optical Zoom
The Dahua SD49225DB-HC produces 1920 × 1080 video at up to 25/30fps, depending on the selected video standard. Its motorised 4.8–120mm lens provides a horizontal field of view from 60.6° to 3.2°. This 25x optical zoom camera adjusts magnification optically, with automatic, semi-automatic or manual focusing.
An additional 16x digital zoom enlarges the captured image. Digital enlargement does not provide the same additional optical detail as changing the lens magnification. Actual recording resolution and frame rate also depend on the connected DVR and its settings.
Continuous Pan, Presets and Tours
Continuous 360° pan movement and a −15° to +90° tilt range provide flexible positioning. The camera supports 300 presets, eight tours with up to 32 presets per tour, five patterns and five scans. Power-off memory helps retain the configured viewing behaviour after a power interruption.
Presets let you return to important areas such as entrances, gates or loading bays. Tours and patterns provide programmed movement between viewing positions. These programmed movements should not be confused with automatic person or vehicle tracking.
Starlight Imaging and Up to 100m Infrared
This Starlight CCTV camera supports low-light colour imaging down to 0.005 lux at F1.6 under Dahua’s stated test conditions. Six infrared illuminators provide up to 100m IR illumination for black-and-white viewing in darkness.
Colour images require sufficient ambient light. This model uses infrared illumination rather than warm-light colour illumination. The quoted IR range describes illumination reach, not a guaranteed distance for identifying a person or reading a number plate.
120dB WDR and Image Enhancement
True 120dB wide dynamic range helps balance bright backgrounds and shaded subjects, making it useful around entrances and other scenes with uneven lighting. Backlight compensation, highlight compensation, 2D/3D noise reduction and electronic defog provide additional image adjustment options.
Adjust the image and exposure settings to suit the installation. Camera position, lighting, subject movement and zoom level all affect the detail available in the resulting footage.
HDCVI Connection, PTZ Control and Audio Input
The camera connects to a compatible DVR/XVR using a BNC video connection. HDCVI supports video and control data over suitable coaxial cabling. TVI and AHD output modes are also available, while CVBS is specified for debugging. Match the selected output format to the recorder before installation.
An RS-485 connection supports DH-SD and Pelco-P/D control protocols. One external line-level audio input is available for a suitable separately supplied audio source. The datasheet does not specify a built-in microphone or speaker, so this is not advertised as a built-in two-way-audio camera.
Recording and Remote Viewing
Use a compatible DVR/XVR with a suitable surveillance hard drive for recording and playback. Remote viewing and supported PTZ control can be provided through the recorder’s network connection and compatible software, subject to configuration.
This camera uses a coaxial video connection and separate DC power. It is not an IP PoE camera and should not be connected directly to an NVR’s PoE camera port.

Installation & Compatibility
This Dahua analogue PTZ camera requires a compatible DVR/XVR, suitable video cabling and a separate 12V DC, 3A supply. Match the camera’s output format and frame rate to the recorder. Configure supported coaxial PTZ control or the RS-485 connection as required by the installation.
Allow for the camera’s maximum 22W consumption when choosing power equipment and wiring. Cable size and distance affect voltage drop. Do not assume that a long combined video-and-power lead can deliver adequate power to this PTZ camera; a correctly rated supply positioned near the camera may be more suitable.
Secure the supplied PFB305W wall bracket to a suitable surface capable of supporting the camera and mounting assembly. Allow clearance for movement and keep outdoor connectors protected. The optional Dahua PFA120 junction box is the back base shown for the wall-mount arrangement in the datasheet.
Test focus, zoom, presets, night illumination, recording and any external alarm or audio connections before completing the installation. Recording and remote-access functions depend on the selected recorder, storage and configuration.

Add the recording equipment, cabling and accessories required for your installation. These items are available separately:
- Dahua XVR5104HS-I3: A four-channel recorder option supporting 1080p HDCVI input. Select the recording mode and channel allocation to suit the required frame rate and PTZ operation. A surveillance hard drive is required for recording.
