Dahua IPC-HFW7442H-Z-X 4MP WizMind X Motorised PoE+ Bullet Camera
Dahua IPC-HFW7442H-Z-X combines detailed 4MP video, advanced WizMind X analytics and a 2.7–12mm motorised lens for commercial surveillance. This 4MP motorised bullet camera lets you adjust the viewing angle to suit entrances, loading areas and perimeter routes, with up to 50fps recording in PAL mode for smoother capture of movement.
This Dahua WizMind X camera combines AI image processing, 150dB wide dynamic range and infrared illumination up to 60m. Supplied in White with the 2.7–12mm lens, it offers PoE+ connectivity, local microSD storage and IP67 weather protection with IK10 impact resistance.

4MP Video and a 2.7–12mm Motorised Lens
The 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor delivers up to 2688 × 1520 resolution at 50fps in PAL mode or 60fps in NTSC mode. The 2.7–12mm motorised varifocal lens provides a horizontal field of view from 107° to 48°, allowing you to choose wider scene coverage or a closer view of a particular area.
The camera uses an F1.2 lens with P-Iris control. Its mounting position is adjusted manually; motorised lens adjustment changes the framing within that fixed camera direction.
AI Image Processing, 150dB WDR and 60m Infrared
Dahua AI-ISP image processing helps improve image quality in low-light scenes. The 150dB wide dynamic range helps balance bright backgrounds and shaded subjects, making the camera useful for entrances, doorways and other areas with uneven lighting.
Four infrared illuminators provide night-time illumination up to 60m. Infrared night images are black and white; colour images require sufficient visible light. Illumination distance does not mean a face or number plate can be identified at that distance. Electronic image stabilisation, defog and lens distortion correction provide further image adjustment options.
WizMind X Analytics and AcuPick Support
The Dahua WizMind X camera supports intelligent perimeter rules with human, vehicle and animal classification for supported events. Additional functions include face detection and recognition, people counting, queue management, heat maps, PPE detection, video metadata and parking-space monitoring.
Configure this AI surveillance camera around the functions required for your site. Selected combinations can operate together, including face recognition with people counting, face detection with people counting, or PPE detection with IVS. Not every analytics function operates simultaneously.
AcuPick requires a compatible Dahua recorder or platform. Available event handling, searching and reporting depend on the connected equipment, firmware and selected operating mode.
Vehicle and Number Plate Analysis
Supported ANPR functions include number plate recognition, vehicle information and allowlist/blocklist management, with vehicle speeds up to 60km/h specified by Dahua. Successful plate capture depends on installation angle, distance, lighting, exposure settings and the size of the plate within the image.
For an entrance or barrier installation, plan the capture position before mounting the camera. The 60m infrared specification is an illumination figure and should not be used as an ANPR capture-distance guarantee.
Recording, Audio Connections and PoE+ Power
Record to a compatible NVR or install a separately purchased microSD card up to 1TB for local storage. H.265 and Smart H.265+ compression help manage storage and bandwidth use, with recording duration depending on the selected settings and storage capacity.
The camera provides one RCA audio input and one RCA audio output for external audio equipment. A built-in microphone or speaker is not specified. Three alarm inputs, two alarm outputs and an RS-485 connection support integration with suitable external devices.
Power options include IEEE 802.3at PoE+, 12V DC, 24V AC and ePoE. Use compatible power equipment and allow sufficient power capacity for the camera’s operating requirements, including heating where used. ePoE operation requires compatible equipment and appropriate cabling.

Installation & Compatibility
The camera has an integrated mounting assembly with a round base. For pole mounting, Dahua specifies the optional PFA154 pole bracket, sold separately. Use fixings suitable for the mounting surface and seal all outdoor cable entries and connections correctly.
Connect using suitable solid-copper network cable and an appropriately rated PoE+ power source, or use one of the supported separate power options. Check both the available power per port and the total power budget when installing multiple cameras.
Confirm recorder support for the required resolution, frame rate and analytics before ordering. ONVIF support can enable integration with other systems, but it does not guarantee access to every Dahua-specific feature. AcuPick and advanced event searching require compatible equipment and firmware.
For external audio, connect suitable equipment to the camera’s audio input/output. For remote access, configure the camera or recorder on your network; internet access is required for off-site viewing.
