Dahua IPC-HFW5241E-ZE S3 2MP WizMind Motorised Varifocal PoE Bullet Camera
The Dahua IPC-HFW5241E-ZE S3 combines Full HD surveillance, intelligent detection and an adjustable 2.7–13.5mm motorised lens. Supplied in white, this motorised varifocal camera lets you adjust the framing remotely, helping you choose between wider coverage and a closer view of an entrance, driveway or other area of interest.
This Dahua WizMind camera records at up to 1920 × 1080 and 25/30fps, with a built-in microphone and infrared illumination reaching up to 60m. Its metal housing carries IP67 weather protection and IK10 impact protection, while PoE support provides power and network data through a suitable Ethernet connection.

Motorised 2.7–13.5mm Lens
As a motorised varifocal camera, the IPC-HFW5241E-ZE S3 lets you adjust its focal length through supported camera controls. The horizontal field of view ranges from approximately 109° at the wide end to 30° at the telephoto end.
A wider setting suits general coverage, while a longer focal length can help concentrate detail on a smaller area. The mounting direction is adjusted manually during installation; the camera does not provide motorised pan or tilt.
Full HD Detail and 60m Infrared Night Vision
The 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor delivers 2MP Full HD video at up to 25/30fps. AI-ISP processing, 3D noise reduction and 120dB WDR help manage difficult lighting, including scenes with bright backgrounds and shaded subjects.
Four built-in infrared LEDs provide illumination up to 60m. Infrared night images are black and white; colour imaging requires sufficient visible light. Actual image quality depends on the scene, installation and camera settings. The illumination range is not a guaranteed identification distance.
WizMind Detection and Intelligent Search
This Dahua WizMind camera supports tripwire, intrusion and fast-moving detection with human, vehicle and animal classification. Additional supported perimeter functions include loitering, people gathering and parking detection. SMD 3.0 provides further tools for filtering relevant motion events.
AcuPick and Smart Search work with compatible back-end equipment to help locate targets and relevant recordings. Available functions depend on the recorder, firmware and selected operating mode; check the combination required for your installation.
People Counting and Scene Analysis
People-counting functions support entry and exit counting, counting within an area and queue management. Reports can be generated for supported counting functions, making the camera useful for reviewing activity around entrances and selected business areas.
Other supported tools include heat maps, video metadata, smart abandoned or missing object detection, smart sound detection and face capture. Face detection and attribute extraction do not by themselves identify a named person.
Built-in Microphone and External Connections
The built-in microphone allows audio to accompany supported video recordings. One RCA audio input and one RCA audio output provide connections for compatible external audio equipment.
The camera has no built-in speaker. External audio equipment is sold separately. Two alarm inputs and one alarm output allow integration with suitable devices, subject to the connection types and electrical limits shown below.
Recording, PoE and Remote Access
H.265, Smart H.265+ and AI coding options help manage bandwidth and storage. The camera supports a microSD card up to 1TB, alongside compatible NVR, NAS and FTP/SFTP storage arrangements. Recording duration depends on the storage capacity, video settings and recording schedule.
Power the camera through an 802.3af PoE connection or a suitable 12V DC supply. ePoE is also supported when used with compatible equipment and cabling. Standard PoE connections should not be assumed to provide extended ePoE distances.
DMSS, SmartPSS Lite and DSS provide supported management and viewing options. Viewing away from the local network requires an appropriate internet connection and system configuration.

Installation & Compatibility
Connect this 2MP PoE bullet camera to a suitable PoE NVR or network switch using correctly installed Ethernet cable. Alternatively, use a suitable 12V DC supply with a separate network connection. Allow for the camera’s maximum specified 11.6W PoE consumption when planning the total power budget.
Use a compatible recorder that supports 1080p recording and the functions required for the installation. Basic ONVIF compatibility does not guarantee that every WizMind feature, search function or alarm event will be available through another manufacturer’s recorder.
The Dahua PFA121 is the compatible optional back base listed in the manufacturer’s datasheet. It provides space for cable connections and a tidy mounting arrangement. Protect and seal outdoor connections correctly, and position the camera to minimise infrared reflections from nearby walls, soffits or other surfaces.
