Dahua IPC-HFW2449S-S-IL combines detailed 4MP video, intelligent human and vehicle detection and a built-in microphone in a compact bullet camera. The supplied 2.8mm fixed lens provides a wide 95° horizontal view, making it useful for entrances, driveways, shops and business premises.
This Dahua Smart Dual Light camera uses infrared for black-and-white night viewing and warm illumination for colour footage when enabled. PoE carries power and data through one network cable, while the IP67 metal housing supports outdoor installation. This listing supplies one white camera with a 2.8mm lens.

4MP Detail with a Wide 2.8mm Lens
The camera records at up to 2688 × 1520 at 20fps. It also supports 2560 × 1440 at up to 25/30fps, depending on the selected video standard and configuration. Choose the recording settings around the movement and detail you need to capture.
The fixed 2.8mm F1.6 lens provides a 95° horizontal, 52° vertical and 114° diagonal field of view. The camera can be aimed manually during installation. Its wide view is useful for general coverage, with the final level of detail depending on mounting position and subject distance.
Smart Dual Light Night Vision
The Dahua Smart Dual Light camera combines an infrared LED and a warm-light LED, each with a stated illumination range of up to 30 metres.
In Smart Dual Light operation, infrared normally provides black-and-white night monitoring. When a configured target enters the monitored area, warm light can activate so the camera records the event in colour. After the target leaves, the camera can return to infrared operation.
Colour footage in complete darkness requires warm illumination or another suitable visible light source. Configure the lighting and detection settings to suit the location. The 30m illumination figure does not guarantee face or number-plate identification at that distance.
WizSense Human and Vehicle Detection
SMD Plus filters motion events using target classification, helping reduce notifications caused by unrelated movement. Tripwire and intrusion detection also support human and vehicle classification, allowing you to set rules around entrances, boundaries and other important areas.
Detection performance depends on positioning, lighting, the scene and configuration. Smart Search functions require a compatible Smart NVR and supported settings.
Built-in Microphone for Audio Recording
The built-in microphone captures sound alongside video, adding useful context when reviewing events through compatible recording equipment or software. Audio compression options include G.711a, G.711Mu, PCM and G.726.
This model provides one-way audio recording. It has no built-in speaker for two-way conversations.
120dB WDR and Image Enhancement
120dB Wide Dynamic Range helps balance bright backgrounds and shaded subjects, making it useful around doorways and entrances. Backlight compensation, highlight compensation and 3D noise reduction provide additional adjustment for different monitoring conditions.
Recording, Compression and Remote Access
With this 4MP PoE bullet camera, you can record to a compatible NVR or install a suitable microSD card up to 256GB. FTP and SFTP storage are also supported. Recording equipment and storage media are sold separately.
H.265, Smart H.265+ and Smart H.264+ help manage network bandwidth and storage use when supported by the connected equipment. Recording duration depends on the selected resolution, frame rate, bitrate, recording schedule and available capacity.
Dahua DMSS provides supported mobile access through a correctly configured system, with DSS available for compatible management installations. Viewing from outside the local network requires internet access. ONVIF Profiles S, G and T support integration, while individual audio and intelligent-event functions depend on system compatibility.

Installation & Compatibility
Connect the camera to a compatible PoE NVR or IEEE 802.3af PoE switch using suitable network cable. Alternatively, use a suitable 12V DC supply with a wired network connection. Allow for the camera’s maximum 5.2W PoE consumption when planning the total system power budget.
Choose an NVR that supports 4MP recording, the selected frame rate and codec, and the combined incoming bandwidth of all connected cameras. Audio recording, intelligent events and Smart Search depend on the recorder, firmware and configuration.
Install this outdoor IP security camera where its fixed view covers the required area, then test daytime and night-time operation. Protect outdoor cable connections and seal cable entries correctly. The optional Dahua PFA130-E back base is listed among the manufacturer’s compatible accessories and provides enclosed space for the camera connections.
