Description
Dahua DHI-ITC413-PW4D-IZ1 4MP ANPR 2.7–12mm Motorised PoE+ Camera
Dahua DHI-ITC413-PW4D-IZ1 is a 4MP number plate recognition camera designed for vehicle entrances, exits and controlled parking areas. Its 2.7–12mm motorised varifocal lens lets you adjust the view to your capture point, while built-in plate recognition helps identify vehicles arriving at your site.
This Dahua ANPR camera combines vehicle analysis, infrared illumination and barrier-control connections in one unit. With an integrated bracket and junction box, it provides a practical vehicle access control camera for businesses, residential developments and other premises managing vehicle access.
Why Choose This Product?
Choose this number plate recognition camera when you need more than general CCTV footage at an entrance. It can read supported number plates and record vehicle information, helping you review arrivals and manage access using configured allowlists, blocklists and compatible external equipment.
The Dahua ANPR camera performs recognition within the camera. A separate recorder can provide central video storage, while supported management software can organise events and vehicle records. Functions available through a recorder or platform depend on the model, firmware and integration.
4MP Detail with a Motorised Varifocal Lens
The 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor produces video at up to 2688 × 1520 resolution, with up to 25fps in PAL mode or 30fps in NTSC mode. The 2.7–12mm motorised lens helps you frame the vehicle approach and capture area without physically changing the lens.
Dahua specifies a 3–8m capture distance and 3–4m detected width for this IZ1 version. Position and configure the camera around the intended capture point, with number plates clearly visible as vehicles pass. The stated maximum detection speed is 80km/h; actual recognition depends on mounting angle, plate visibility, lighting and camera settings.
Number Plates, Vehicle Details and Access Lists
Built-in analysis recognises supported number plates alongside vehicle type, brand/logo and colour. It also supports detection of vehicles without plates. Britain is included in the supported European region, with the appropriate firmware and regional settings required.
As a vehicle access control camera, the unit supports separate allowlists and blocklists with up to 110,000 entries each. Two relay outputs can connect to a compatible barrier controller, with additional alarm, RS-485 and Wiegand connections for integration.
Barrier operation requires compatible external equipment, suitable wiring and configured access rules. A barrier or gate operator is not included with the camera.
Infrared Night Monitoring and 140dB WDR
Four built-in 850nm infrared illuminators support monitoring in darkness. The IZ1 illumination ratings are 10m for ANPR and 30m for general video monitoring. These lighting figures are separate from the specified 3–8m vehicle capture distance.
Infrared night mode produces black-and-white images. Colour imaging requires sufficient visible light. The camera also includes 140dB wide dynamic range, highlight compensation and backlight compensation to help manage scenes containing bright headlights and darker areas.
Audible Warnings and Red/Blue Warning Lights
The camera includes a built-in microphone, a 2W speaker and red/blue warning lights. Supported events can trigger audible and visible warnings, and custom audio can be imported for suitable announcements or deterrent messages.
Intrusion and loitering detection support up to four configured areas. Event actions include snapshots, supported uploads, notifications and alarm-output activation, depending on the selected configuration.
Recording, Software and PoE+ Installation
A compatible TF/microSD card up to 256GB provides an onboard storage option. For central video recording and playback, connect the camera to a suitable network video recorder with a fitted surveillance hard drive. Storage media and the recorder are sold separately.
Supported software includes DSS Pro, DSS Express, Smart PSS and DMSS. Available viewing, event and vehicle-management functions depend on the software, firmware and integration. Confirm any required ANPR search or barrier-management functions when selecting the rest of the system.
Power the camera using IEEE 802.3at PoE+ or a suitable 12V DC, 2A supply. PoE+ carries power and network data through one compatible Ethernet cable. Allow for the specified maximum 20W requirement when planning the power source and total system load.

What’s Included
- 1 × Dahua DHI-ITC413-PW4D-IZ1 4MP ANPR camera with a 2.7–12mm motorised lens, integrated bracket and junction box.
This listing is for one camera. Recorder, storage media, network cable, monitor, barrier equipment and optional pole-mounting accessories are sold separately. A suitable PoE+ source or 12V DC power supply is required.
Ideal For
- Business car park entrances and exits.
- Residential developments with controlled vehicle access.
- Factories, warehouses and service-yard entrances.
- Schools, hospitals and office premises managing arriving vehicles.
- Compatible barrier systems using configured vehicle access lists.
Installation & Compatibility
Plan the camera position around the vehicle route and the specified 3–8m capture distance. Adjust the lens, focus, exposure and recognition area during commissioning, then test with representative vehicles in daylight and darkness.
The camera has an integrated bracket and junction box, so a separate camera back base is not needed for a suitable direct wall or ceiling installation. For pole installations, Dahua lists the optional PFA150 pole mount and IPMECB-1121-12 bracket; select the appropriate arrangement for the site.
Use a compatible IEEE 802.3at PoE+ connection or the specified DC supply. Protect all cable entries and connections against moisture and install the unit within its operating limits. IP67 and IK10 ratings do not remove the need for correct mounting and sealing.
Basic video compatibility and advanced ANPR integration are separate considerations. Confirm the required plate-event recording, search, notifications and barrier functions with the chosen recorder or management platform. Barrier connections should be installed and configured by a suitably competent installer.
Complete Your Installation
The Dahua NVR4104HS-P-EI is a four-channel recorder option with PoE+ ports for compatible camera connections. Check the required ANPR integration and the recorder’s shared 45W PoE budget when planning your system. A surveillance hard drive is required for NVR recording.
Add the 20m outdoor solid-copper CAT5 cable for the network connection. The Uniview MW3222-V-DT Full HD monitor connects to the recorder for local viewing; set the recorder display output to a supported resolution. These items are sold separately.
