Description
Viper Pro 4-Port PoE Switch – 100Mbps, 2 Uplink Ports & AI Watchdog
Viper Pro 4-Port PoE Switch brings power and network connections together for a compact CCTV or video intercom installation. Connect compatible PoE devices using one Ethernet cable per device, helping reduce separate power adaptors and keep your installation organised.
Four PoE connections leave room for cameras, an indoor monitor or a door station, while two dedicated uplink ports provide connections for your wider network and recorder. This 4-port PoE switch for CCTV is a practical choice when you need a small, straightforward network with automatic device recovery support.
Key Features
- ✓ Four PoE ports: carry power and data to compatible connected devices.
- ✓ Two separate uplink ports: connect your network and recorder without using a PoE port.
- ✓ 10/100Mbps connectivity: across all six Ethernet ports.
- ✓ AI PoE Watchdog: supports automatic recovery of unresponsive powered devices.
- ✓ Higher-power fourth port: supports compatible IEEE 802.3bt equipment.
- ✓ Metal, fanless construction: quiet operation for indoor installations.
Why Choose This Product?
A separate PoE switch gives you flexibility over where your network connections meet. Position it near a group of cameras or intercom devices, then connect it to the rest of your network. This can simplify cabling layouts and make individual connections easier to identify during maintenance.
Choosing a PoE switch with 2 uplink ports also helps keep the powered connections available for the devices that need them. Plan the installation around both the combined power demand and the amount of network traffic your cameras will generate.
AI PoE Watchdog: Help with Device Recovery
This AI PoE watchdog switch monitors connected powered equipment and can restart an unresponsive device through its PoE connection. This can help restore operation without visiting the switch to disconnect and reconnect the cable.
Understanding the Power Capacity
The datasheet specifies a 65W total power supply, with individual port limits shown below. These limits cannot be added together as a simultaneous output allowance. The switch itself also consumes power, so allow for every connected device’s maximum demand when planning the installation.
For equipment with higher power requirements, check its exact PoE standard and required input power before choosing a port. A camera’s maximum consumption may increase when infrared lighting, heaters or motors operate.
Extended Cable Runs
Extended transmission supports distances up to 250 metres with reduced link speed. Allow for the lower available bandwidth when planning longer runs, and check cable quality, voltage drop and the connected device’s requirements before installation.

What’s Included
- 1 × PoE switch
- AC power cable
- User manual
Cameras, recorder, intercom devices and Ethernet cables are sold separately.
Ideal For
- Small CCTV installations at homes, shops and offices.
- Compatible PoE video intercom systems.
- Adding a local connection point for a small group of powered network devices.
- Installations where automatic PoE device recovery would be useful.
Installation & Compatibility
Install the switch in a dry, ventilated indoor location. Connect compatible powered devices to the numbered PoE ports, then use the uplink connections for your network equipment. Cameras and intercom devices still require their normal network and system configuration.
- Match the power standard: check each device’s required PoE standard and maximum consumption.
- Allow for combined demand: stay within both the individual port limits and the available shared PoE output.
- Check PTZ cameras individually: some require proprietary Hi-PoE, higher-power equipment or a separate power supply.
- Plan network traffic: each uplink operates at up to 100Mbps; allow capacity for all streams sharing that connection.
- Use suitable cabling: choose correctly terminated solid-copper Ethernet cable suitable for the installation.
