The Hikvision iDS-7232HQHI-M2/XT brings up to 32 analogue cameras into one recording system, making it a practical choice for warehouses, shops, offices and larger premises. This 32 channel AcuSense DVR supports existing coaxial CCTV installations alongside compatible IP cameras. Perimeter Protection & Facial Recognition
In the appropriate advanced mode, the DVR supports human and vehicle classification for perimeter events on up to eight analogue channels, or face capture and face comparison on up to four analogue channels. Plan the enabled detection functions around the areas you want to monitor; the maximum capacities depend on the selected operating mode.
Flexible Analogue & IP Camera Support
Use the 32 BNC inputs for compatible analogue cameras and add up to eight IP cameras. Converting analogue channels allows expansion up to 40 IP inputs, with each supported IP camera limited to 6MP and 4Mbps. Converted channels replace analogue capacity, so the final camera mix depends on your configuration.
Recording, Storage & Local Viewing
This two HDD CCTV recorder supports up to 24TB of installed storage. H.265 Pro+ compression helps make efficient use of that capacity, while the HDMI output supports a 4K monitor and simultaneous HDMI/VGA display output.
Camera input resolution and recorded resolution are different specifications. The DVR records 3K and 5MP inputs in Lite formats at up to 12fps. Its 4K HDMI display output does not mean it records analogue footage at 4K.
Audio & Remote Access
Compatible cameras can send audio to the DVR over coaxial cable. The supplied datasheet also specifies one RCA two-way audio connection using the audio input; suitable external audio equipment is required for that connection.
Hik-Connect provides remote access when the recorder is connected to a suitable network and configured for the service. Available audio and viewing functions depend on the connected cameras, equipment and system configuration.

Installation & Compatibility
Connect compatible analogue cameras to the BNC inputs and provide a suitable separate power supply for each camera. This DVR does not supply PoC camera power. Choose cables and power distribution to match the camera requirements and installation distances.
IP cameras connect through the network and require their own suitable power source or PoE network equipment. Check the 6MP resolution and 4Mbps per-channel limits when selecting IP cameras. Converting analogue channels to IP reduces the available analogue input capacity.
Use an HDMI connection and compatible 4K monitor for the maximum local display resolution. Fit suitable surveillance hard drives and configure recording schedules before use. Install the recorder indoors in a dry, ventilated location.
The linked Viper four-way power supply is an option for a suitable small camera group; a 32-camera installation requires power distribution sized for the full system. Select junction boxes to match the camera housing and mounting position.

Add compatible Hikvision cameras, BNC cables, suitable camera power supplies and a monitor to complete your system. The DS-1280ZJ-TR13 junction box is an optional mounting accessory for the linked camera.
