The Hikvision DS-2CE78H0T-IT3FS is a
5MP analogue HD turret CCTV camera combining detailed
video, a built-in microphone and infrared night vision in a compact
housing.
Our 2.8mm fixed-lens version is available in
Black or White. It connects to a compatible DVR using
a BNC video connection and requires a separate 12V DC power
supply.
Audio over coax allows sound from the integrated microphone to travel
along the same coaxial cable as the video, making this a practical option
for installations requiring both picture and sound without a separate
microphone cable.

Built-In Microphone with Audio over Coax
As an HD-TVI camera with audio, the
DS-2CE78H0T-IT3FS can send video and microphone audio through the
same coaxial video connection.
Use the camera in HD-TVI mode with a recorder that
supports audio over coax. Audio recording must also
be enabled in the DVR settings.
Please note: the built-in microphone is for listening
and recording. This camera does not provide a built-in speaker for
two-way conversation.
Smart IR Night Vision up to 40 Metres
Integrated infrared illumination provides night-time coverage up to
40 metres. Smart IR helps control illumination as
subjects move closer to the camera.
The camera supports colour daytime viewing and black-and-white infrared
night viewing. Actual night-time detail depends on the installation,
subject distance and surrounding conditions.
2.8mm Lens and Digital WDR
The 2.8mm fixed lens provides an approximately
85.5° horizontal field of view, offering coverage
for entrances, driveways, shop areas and building exteriors.
Digital Wide Dynamic Range helps improve visibility
in scenes containing both bright and shaded areas. This model uses
digital WDR rather than a specified 120dB or 130dB true-WDR system.
4-in-1 Analogue Video Compatibility
The camera offers switchable TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS
video output. Match the output mode to the connected DVR before
finalising the installation.
Maximum resolution and frame rate depend on the selected video format
and the recorder. The camera supports 5MP output at 20fps
in TVI and AHD modes; its CVI output supports up to 4MP.
IP67 Protection for Indoor and Outdoor Installations
For installations requiring an
outdoor CCTV camera with microphone, the IP67-rated
housing provides water and dust resistance.
The camera has a metal main body and a plastic enclosure. Protect the
BNC and power connections separately when installing outdoors, using
an appropriate junction box and suitable cable entries.

Installation & Compatibility
Connect the camera’s BNC video output to a compatible
DVR and supply 12V DC power at the camera.
This is an analogue HD camera, not a PoE IP camera.
For microphone audio, select HD-TVI mode and use a DVR
supporting audio over coax. Enable video-and-audio recording on the
appropriate channel. Remote viewing and playback are provided through
the connected recorder rather than by connecting this camera directly
to a router.
Confirm the DVR’s supported input resolution, recording resolution and
frame rate before ordering. Accepting a 5MP camera signal does not
necessarily mean the recorder saves full-resolution 5MP footage.
For outdoor installations, protect all cable joints from moisture.
Check cable condition, connector quality, power polarity and voltage
drop before completing the installation.

A four-channel DVR supporting this camera’s HD-TVI signal and audio
over coax. Its supported AcuSense functions are provided by the
recorder; they are not built-in analytics in this camera.
Recording note: the iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT accepts this
camera’s 5MP signal but records it in 5MP Lite at up to
12fps. This is not full-resolution 5MP recording. A suitable
hard drive must be installed in the DVR to store recordings.
